Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Mine was long but amazing! Between church, an online writers’ conference, and just being with my family, it was great! And now to begin a new week.
And why not start by answering the remarkable blogger tag that the lovely Saraina tagged me in? I’m so pumped to do this, you guys! I’ve never done a tagged-blogger thing before, so I’m excited to try this out!

Something Unique About Me
I love music (as you’ve probably seen me mention a time or two) whether that’s singing or playing guitar or mandolin. What’s unique about me is that I’ve taught myself how to play musical instruments. I’ve tried flute (can’t promise I’m very good), a bit of piano, and maybe one day, banjo. I love using my instruments to help lead worship at my church or even just to jam out with my very musical family. 🙂
How long have you been blogging?
I’ve blogged for my church for the last year and a half (well, maybe a bit longer, come to think of it). I started my own blog just over two weeks ago!
Do you think the time you first started blogging was a good time (as in, do you wish you’d started yours sooner/later)?
I do think it was a good time. Writing for my church gave me time and writing experience alongside a mentor, so it definitely gave me a stronger basis to go off of.
Random question to spice things up: what did you last eat for dinner?
I had a cilantro lime chicken power bowl of sorts (actually from Tim Horton’s 😉 )
What’s your favorite kind of blog post to write?
Hmm… I guess it depends. Whatever God puts on my heart, ultimately. Some things just pop into my head and I have to write them out to better understand them.
Something that’s jumped out at me most recently (and continually) is the importance of quality Christian fiction as well as living it out. Something that I’d love to blog about – and maybe I will in the future – is when we share something about our walk of faith, it should apply everywhere. (i.e., Christian authors write great Christian fiction, then watch/read media that has questionable content.)
What candy should be banned from the earth?
Either candy corn or black licorice… can’t stand either of them.
If you weren’t blogging about book-related things, what would you blog about instead?
I’d probably blog about life, faith, and relationship stuff as a Christian woman. My younger sisters and I talk about these kinds of things all the time and it’s so refreshing to be able to talk about these things in a safe place. One day I hope to open it up to other women and girls if the Lord wills it.
What fictional world do you wish was real?
Ooh, good question! Either Middle Earth, Narnia, or Natalia!
On a scale of 1 to 10, how messy are you?
Eh, probably a 6. I love to organize and clean (which I find hilarious… how is it that as kids and teenagers, we hate cleaning up and doing chores, yet at some later point it’s all you can do not to scream when someone makes a mess you just spent a good chunk of time cleaning? Sorry, a pet peeve of mine in a house of teens for siblings, haha.)
Do you plan and schedule your blog posts?
I try to. It takes a lot of stress off of me if and when I schedule, given my work and personal life. Its a matter of figuring out what I’m writing that takes a while to boost.
Let’s see if I can do this right. If not, please let me know!

Alrighty!! My questions are:
- How long have you been writing?
- What do you love to write the most?
- Do you have a set time during the day that’s just for reading?
- What’s been a book or series that you believe God brought to your life and blessed you with?
- When you have spare time, what do you do? (Aside from reading and writing?)
- How do you enjoy serving the Lord?
- What’s your theme song?
- If you could have lunch with anyone in the world, who would it be?
- What is one piece of advice you would give someone?
